Gabby began her career as an accountant. Someone who loved numbers, systems, and finding clarity in the midst of complexity, but even early on, it wasn’t only the spreadsheets that held her attention. She was fascinated by how people worked together, what motivated them, and how great teams could achieve so much more than the sum of their parts.
Over time, that curiosity expanded far beyond accounting. Gabby became known for her ability to create strong results and deep engagement wherever she worked. Whether she was leading operations, finance, or business development, people noticed that her teams didn’t just meet their targets, they felt inspired to contribute and grow.
This passion for unlocking human potential led her to immerse herself in the field of adult learning and development. Gabby spent years studying what helps adults thrive in their professions and businesses, how they learn best, and how organisations can create cultures where people do work that matters. She acquired extensive knowledge in learning design, facilitation, and andragogy (the science of adult learning) and she was committed to bringing these insights into the world in practical, transformative ways.
Her work designing and delivering pioneering programs in management, leadership, and entrepreneurship reflected this commitment. She trained thousands of managers, founders, and professionals across industries and clients spanned organisations of every size from startups to multinationals.
Gabby’s talent for translating complex ideas into simple, actionable frameworks earned her recognition as an award-winning facilitator. Clients valued her for her ability to challenge old thinking while making learning accessible, engaging, and immediately relevant.
As her career evolved, she discovered that coaching was the bridge that connected all the pieces she cared about - purpose, performance and the potential for human beings to achieve what matters most.
Her unique research into what made coaching effective and why so many coaches struggled to build sustainable businesses became a defining focus of her work.
Over time, Gabby became, as some described her, “an accidental expert” in the field of coaching.
Through all these experiences, she never lost sight of one core belief: that the future belongs to those with the courage to create something better, to share their expertise in practical ways, and to lead not just with systems and knowledge but with humanity and a deep understanding of what makes people tick.
Deb’s early career unfolded in the club industry, where she managed national promotions and hospitality venues in London and Australia. She was known for her vibrant energy and her love of music, movement, and the joy of bringing people together.
She was the life of the party, the woman with a spark in her eye who could turn any event into something unforgettable. Her love for music, dance, and the joy of bringing people together was her first calling.
Whether it was a packed nightclub or a major event, Deb thrived in environments where she could create experiences that sparked connection and celebration.
Over time, something deeper began to stir, she began to feel the pull of something more. She started asking bigger questions about purpose, growth, and how to help people move beyond surviving to truly thriving.
When Deb discovered coaching, over twenty years ago, it felt like a calling she could no longer ignore. Here was a profession that wove together her love of human potential, her belief in joy as a catalyst for change, and her commitment to helping others live fully expressed lives.
Since then, Deb has guided thousands of people through coaching, training, and mastermind experiences across the globe, from Tonga to Bali, Costa Rica to Australia. She became one of the first facilitators of accredited workplace coaching programs in Australia and contributed to raising professional standards through her involvement with organisations like the International Coach Federation.
Her clients often describe her as someone who can ignite a spark in any room. She is known for her fierce belief in what’s possible and her ability to help people reconnect to their purpose, confidence, and sense of fun.
Deb and Gabby met during the global pause of 2020, where they each found themselves re-evaluating what mattered most.
For Deb, it was a season to reflect on how she could make the greatest impact. For Gabby, it was an opportunity to look back on decades of research, program design, and leadership and ask what the next evolution of her work should be.
Their initital conversations centred on the coaching industry. About how much promise it held, how many coaches were passionate but underprepared, and how the landscape was about to be reshaped by emerging technologies and changes in the way of doing business.
Deb immediately recognised that Gabby’s frameworks and research were the missing link - practical, evidence-based structures that could help coaches not only transform clients but build credible, commercially strong businesses.
Gabby saw in Deb a visionary leader and exceptional coach with the energy, heart, and creativity to make this work accessible and inspiring. They realised that between them, they had the experience, insight, and drive to create something new. A place where coaches could learn to blend wisdom, strategy, and structure, and step confidently into the future.
Together, they launched The Wisdom Playground. A space for forward-thinking coaches during lockdown to evolve and grow, and in 2023, it transitioned into Coach Training Campus.
Today, it’s a place where coaches come to finally make sense of everything they’ve learned, shape it into something clear and powerful, and build a business that feels true to who they are and what they’re really here to do.
We believe that too many skilled, passionate coaches are being let down by an industry that promises quick fixes and easy answers.
Again and again we see coaches spend thousands, often tens of thousands on marketing formulas and surface-level solutions that fail to create real traction. We've watched brilliant practitioners question their worth, not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked clear, structured, committed support to turn their expertise into credible, impactful coaching, training, offers and businesses.
