<h1 id="80e0ee56-029b-4b4c-873d-1e9db9572d0c" data-toc-id="80e0ee56-029b-4b4c-873d-1e9db9572d0c">The Art of a Clear Introduction</h1>“How do I effectively describe what I do?"This question can sometimes be daunting, especially in today's fast-paced, online networking world.<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://linktr.ee/debking">Deb King</a> recently led one of our weekly group coaching sessions to transform this challenge into an opportunity for creativity and clarity.<h2 id="c07c2bdb-1726-45eb-af00-924497eb3aa4" data-toc-id="c07c2bdb-1726-45eb-af00-924497eb3aa4">The Formula</h2>We've all been in situations where introductions turn into lengthy boring monologues.The goal is to be concise yet impactful.Den introduced us to a straightforward formula to keep your introduction crisp and engaging.The aim is to use the formula and craft an introduciton that is no longer than 30 second!Here’s the formula:<ol><li>Identify the Problem: Start with a relatable issue your audience faces. For example, "You know how … many women struggle with self-confidence?"</li><li>Present Your Solution: Follow with the unique outcome you provide, like, "What I do is … I guide them to rediscover their confidence, sparking new, exciting journeys in their lives."</li></ol><h2 id="1c914737-3716-447b-b0fb-470e52e087bb" data-toc-id="1c914737-3716-447b-b0fb-470e52e087bb">Adding Depth To Your Story</h2>To give more substance to your introduction, we added two more elements.<ol><li>Your 'Why': Explain the motivation behind your work. "I do this because … in my earlier years I struggled to get on video, or do presentations because I was so worried what others might think, and then I soon realised I am not alone and how much this holds women back, especially older women."</li><li>Your 'How': Briefly describe your approach. "How I do this is through … personalised coaching and energy healing sessions focusing both in person and online."</li></ol><h2 id="14d01ff9-0ccb-4ec7-918c-6d43c9df5120" data-toc-id="14d01ff9-0ccb-4ec7-918c-6d43c9df5120">Exploring Different Angles</h2>We spiced things up by experimenting with various perspectives including …<ul><li>100% Guaranteed Outcome: What would you say if you could guarantee that everyone will achieve their goals from working with you?</li><li>Client's Desires: What do you think your clients wants you to say?
